Fall Soil Sampling

Fall soil testing is the best way to know what nutrition is needed next spring to get your crop off to a healthy start. Reach out as soon as possible to get on our soil testing schedule.

 
 
Soil testing for pea and lentil root pathogens Aphanomyces (Ae) and Fusarium (Fave/Foxy), is now available. An example result is below. Aphanomyces can be difficult to detect due to variability across a field so we recommend testing a field in the fall right after a pea or lentil crop. This will let you know if these pathogens are present in that field so you can plan ahead for crop rotations. Reach out to Dr. Audrey Kalil if you are interested.
